Students are only expected to complete the work set on the student and parent app. Everything else on the website is additional work in case additional work is needed.

For students without access to ICT/Computer - we can arrange paper copies of work to be supplied. Please ring the main switchboard on 01432 347500 and ask for student services to let us know.

SIMS Student App (Expected to complete all work)

Staff will be setting work for students online to enable learning to continue as much as possible. Work set will be accessible via the student and parent apps. Details about Sims Student and Sims Parent can be found by clicking Here

Direct Link to Sims Student app here - You need to register first before signing in, details can be found by following the link above or by clicking Here

If you are having problems with the sims parent/student app please contact Mrs Chapman on jchapman@bhbs.hereford.sch.uk.

Student Additional work (For continuing Learning at home)

Work for additional learning can be found online by clicking here, This may sometimes be referred to as the L drive or student drive. Due to high demand and reliability we are currently syncing the two locations. it's best to use this link instead of remote as we have found less issues with students accessing work this way.

Student Home Drive (Z Drive)

Students can access their own home drive from home, more commonly known to students as their Z Drive or where they save their own work in school. A guide for this have been attached to the bottom of this page.

We have had a few issues with students having trouble accessing this from home due to may different issues, including not having the latest windows updates for windows, inputting the wrong username or password or in the wrong format, Mac OS not up to date for installing the remote app etc.

If you don't have access to word, powerpoint etc please click here for instructions to download for free

Reading (Important Daily activity)

An important activity is reading daily. Key Stage specific reading lists are available on the BHBS website and all students also have free access to our ePlatform app. ePlatform is an app that can be downloaded onto a phone/device and it gives students free access to all of the books and audiobooks in our library. Once a book is downloaded, it automatically returns after two weeks.

To access ePlatform on a computer or laptop you will need to click on the ePlatform link in the Curriculum Links section of the BHBS website homepage.

You will then need to login with your existing school email address and password.  This is your username that you login to the computer on followed by @bhbs.hereford.sch.uk and then your password.

Access to the Accelerated Reader app can also be found in the Curriculum Links section of our website, where Year 7 and 8 students may take quizzes about the books they have read.
