Learning a language isn't only about vocabulary and grammar.

It helps us understand new cultures, build friendships and see the world from different perspectives.

At the Autumn Fayre this year, the theme for the Bake Off cake decorating competition is ‘Languages through Culture’. Get planning your bake – it will need to be decorated to promote a cultural event from somewhere in the world. More information to come about the Autumn Fayre and the Bake Off soon.

One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way.

Celebrate the joy of languages with us this European Day of Languages. Ask your language teacher about the competition we are running and pick up a quiz entry form from one of the Language Classrooms (18, 19, 28 or 29).

The deadline for entries for the competition is Friday 2nd October.
