  • Williams F1 Trip

    Published 03/04/25

Over the 6th and 7th of February, 80 Design & Technology students had an amazing time during their recent school trip to the Williams F1 Factory in Oxfordshire.

They thoroughly enjoyed the factory tour, where they saw both past and present race cars up close, sparking excitement and curiosity about the engineering behind F1. The STEM challenge, focusing on crumple zones, allowed students to engage in hands-on learning about car safety features and to ‘crash test’ their designs.

The highlight of the trip was using the F1 Esports simulators, which gave them a thrilling, immersive racing experience. It was an unforgettable experience that inspired their passion for engineering and motorsports. Alfie (LLX) was very impressive and even drew the attention of current F1 Esports Championship leader, Ismael Fahssi.
