We are incredibly proud of our brilliant Year 9 mathematicians who took part in the Maths competition hosted by Edge Hill University. With 83 teams entering from across the country, both of our teams battled through two challenging rounds to reach the final and were invited to the university to present their solutions to the problems they had tackled.

A huge congratulations to The Digitisers – Chihurumanya, Taya, Noah and Imogen – and The Axiom Fives – Juno, Adiya, Mabel, Dhani and Arlo.

Both teams represented themselves and the school brilliantly, impressing the judges and earning their place among the final 11 teams. After a campus tour and the final presentations, the results were announced…

The Digitisers achieved an amazing 2nd place!

It was a fantastic day of problem-solving, teamwork and celebrating mathematical talent. Despite the traffic on the journey, we still managed to make the most of the trip with a visit to Liverpool Docks on the way home!
